In Sickness & In Health... A Night of Storytelling

Wednesday, March 1st, 2017

Doors are at 6PM, storytellers hit the stage at 7pm

Gowanus Hospitality and Ashley M Chamblin Events invite you to Wedding War Stories 2.0 "In Sickness and In Health", a storytelling hour inspired by the Moth for our pals to share their worst and craziest stories from the battlefield of weddings and events. In the words of Destiny’s Child “I'm a survivor (what?) I'm not gon' give up (what?) I'm not gon' stop (what?) I'm gon' work harder (what?)”- even if that means wiping vomit off of a drunk bride's dress.

We will begin with some liquid courage (aka Jello Shots) and give you a chance to throw your name in the ever-popular mason jar to tell a horror story of your own. Once the catharsis has come to an end, get ready to bust out those moves you hold back every weekend with DJ Ari Baby.

This is a vendor only event! No photography, no recordings, no judgement. Feel free to let it all out!

Although this is a free event we are going to use your bad luck and turn it into something good. We're asking for a suggested $20 donation at the door, 100% of which will be going to The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU). With a donation of $20 you will also receive two drink tickets, something yummy from Stuf'd Food Truck and 1 million good karma points for fewer horror stories in 2017.

We couldn't have pulled it off without these guys:
